The job
I was working as a clerical assistant before I joined Friday’s. I was so bored working in an office, answering the phone and doing the filing. I wanted to do something more fun. I’d never worked in a kitchen before, but I’d heard about Friday’s and it sounded like a fun place, so I applied for a job.
The team
I felt really comfortable here from the word go. I still love the atmosphere and the job itself is great. The team works so well together, helping one another out, that makes it all go smoothly.
The perks
Everyone’s lovely and the shifts fit well around my family life. It’s just so different to all the other restaurants you go to. It’s very lively. It can get really busy, but it’s still fun.
The future
I’ve recently applied to become a Great Coach with Friday’s. It’s the first step towards becoming a manager, which I hope to do in the future. As a coach I will go around to new restaurants, like the one opening in Manchester, and train the new starters. I’ve had my interview and I’m waiting to find out if I’ve made the selections. Wish me luck!
Top tip
There’s no point panicking, you just have to be strong, roll your sleeves up and get on with it.
