Pay

We look for the very best people in the industry and pay them competitively. Our team members and managers work really hard to ensure that Every Guest Leaves Happy – they deserve every penny they get!

FRiDOiDS are paid at least the minimum wage before any tips are taken into consideration. (Believe it or not, many restaurant chains in the UK fail to do this.)

Friday’s pay a premium of 1.5x to 2x basic pay for working on bank holidays. We have fantastic waiters and waitresses across the country earning £30,000 or more per annum once tips are taken into consideration.

Fair Tips

When a guest tips one of our FRiDOiDS, it’s because they’ve earned it – and they deserve to keep every penny. That’s why Friday’s leapt at the chance to join the Daily Mirror's Fair Tips campaign the minute it launched. As a founding signatory, we were on board from day one. The Charter means we:

  • Pay all employees at least the minimum wage with 100% of tips added on top as a bonus with no hidden charges.
  • Reach agreement on how tips are shared with those staff directly affected.
  • Make no deductions from tips to cover breakages, till shortages or guest walk-outs.
  • Make all rules for the distribution of tips and service charges available in writing for staff and guests on request.
