hi karen myself and quite a few others from the trafford centre would like to no if there is a way around this working over 48 hours most of us full time dubs work really hard so we can have a better life for our selves but after the introduction of not being allowed to work over 48 hours it has caused many of us problems the first being not being able to pick up shifts that will take us over the 48 hours another is if any of us cant do a shift there is no flexability for any one else to pick up cos it will also take them over there 48 hours a good 70 per cent of us would be happy to sign new contratcs to say that we dont want paying over time for the extra hours just the option to be able to work.
if you would like me to arrange some sort of petition for every one to sign that can be arranged as i know many of us have found this a real big problem we all take days off but when we are at work we work hard to make money and want the option to pick up shifts.
hope this is something that can be resolved

Many thanks for your note , I appreciate you writing to me directly on something that concerns you and your colleagues.
I understand that you and the others may want to work hours in excess of 48 , you all work incredibly hard and 48hrs is a lot after all.
I and the exec' team are committed to ensuring that all employees within the Friday's Family are treated in line with recognised good welfare practice and , whilst I appreciate you may want to work more , this is in your best interest.
If , in exceptional circumstances, any employees are required to work beyond these hours they will be paid at the appropriate rate.
I know that you will all continue to give great service to our guests and hope that this will lead to them tipping accordingly .
